SWAC Tournament: Braves Beat Grambling State, 108-84 Marcus Fleming scored 21 points to lead top-seeded Alcorn State to a 108-84 victory over Grambling State Tuesday night in the first round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament. The Alcorn State bench scored 52 points with Lee Cook and Tori Harris leading the way with 13 each. Grambling State (9-19) came into the game allowing an average of 86 points per game and the Braves (19-9) showed why. Alcorn State had little trouble putting the ball into the basket against the eighth-seeded Tigers. The Braves shot 51.4 percent from the field and made 9-of-18 from behind the 3-point line.
